They made it a free browser based game.

I was mildly entertained by the browser version. I think a full decked out version could be pretty fun. Would have been perfect for the 3DS as well.

I couldn’t agree with you more. Not only was I disappointed Vannelope wasn’t a playable character in this game, but that Sugar Rush wasn’t considered for being released. I hope that perhaps Disney is on the works for that game, and maybe they just tossed this out there as a novelty extension game.

I found it really strange, seeing as the movie was subverting the stereotype that only males play video games so well, and then to release a standard game where you play as men? I’m going to Disney World soon. I’m not sure who I would mention this to. My sister is more of a Disney fan than I am, she actually visits the D25 conventions, so I’ll ask her how to go about this.

It wouldn’t hurt to send them e-mails asking about this as well, maybe if they get enough e-mails they’ll consider a full Sugar Rush game.

Hey, I just thought I’d come back and post my letter to Disney about this as an example of what you might want to tell them:

I have noticed there are several female gamers including myself, disappointed with the new Wreck it Ralph game. For one, it seems you cannot play as Vannelope.

We would like a Sugar Rush game based on the one from the film, including the car baking mini-games, with Vannelope as a playable character. I’m hoping that you will take this into consideration.

It was rather surprising as the film subverted so many stereotypes about games only being an interest for males, that the game was a typical male focused video game. I also thought the iPad game for Sugar Rush was too simple, many female gamers think it’s an idea that deserves it’s own game.

They’ll ask you to create an account or log in first. If you cannot find Wreck it Ralph in the game category as I couldn’t, like it wasn’t under Nintendo 3Ds, Nintendo DS, or Wii for example. Send it under non-program related/platform specific, and tell them that you sent it there cause you couldn’t find the game in the games list. Check because they may have put it there by the time you send the e-mail.

Hopefully they’ll make a Sugar Rush game if we e-mail them showing there is demand for it.

There is a sugar rush game for iphone/ipad that looks a lot like how i would imagine the game would have played. There is even the cart builder minigame! But I’ve never played it myself though. Personally though, i would have preferred to see a flash game based off Fix-It-Felix Jr. That game would have been so cool!

In think this should have had the 3 games from WIR as unlockables. They aren’t really the sort of things that would get their own game. Also, are you sure Venellope isn’t in the online Sugar Rush AT ALL? Because I’m pretty sure King Candy can be unlocked, so they might be reserving something. Who knows, they might have a cheat code and give it to people who buy the movie when it’s out. Of course, I don’t have this game or a 3ds, nor have I actually played the online game.
