The Grosvenor Hotel
The Grosvenor has a penchant for authentic and unique design. Although we have been called a boutique hotel and a hip hotel, we’re not sure what that really means. We’re a little modern, and a little bohemian. Our rooms are pet-friendly (which basically means dog-friendly), so we encourage you to bring the whole family. Our accommodations offer simple comfort at an affordable price.
Our 44 rooms have eco-friendly, sustainable, and green elements, like vintage furniture, low-VOC paints and recycled materials. In the common areas, corridors and landings feature art by local and international artists adding to the unique vibe in our historic building.
We are currently undertaking Earthquake strengthening work in some areas of the building.
We are making every effort to ensure that this has minimal impact on your stay with us.

We love having your four-legged friends with us and have the most comfortable dog beds! If you’re coming for an overnight stay, we would recommend our garden rooms to allow your dog easy access to outside space. Dogs are also welcome in the Hayloft and our three-bedroom Tap Cottage (a charge of £25 per dog per night applies, and this is payable upon check out). Well-behaved dogs are very welcome in our bar, and in our walled garden.
